Orpheus is an Android music player for audio stored on your device, published by Black and Blue (“Orpheus,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This policy explains what the app accesses, what may leave your device, and the choices available to you.
Orpheus does not require an account. We do not sell personal data or show advertising. The app uses Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics for limited product analytics, reliability monitoring, and crash diagnosis. Advertising ID collection and ad-personalization signals are disabled.
Orpheus processes the following information locally to provide features you choose:

Orpheus uses Google Play Billing and RevenueCat to offer optional repeatable one-time tips of approximately USD 1, USD 10, and USD 100, with local prices set by Google Play. These services may process purchase history, purchase tokens, transaction status, an anonymous RevenueCat app-user identifier, app and device or operating-system information, and network information such as an IP address.
Tips do not unlock features, content, or access. Payment-card and billing-address handling is performed by Google Play, not Orpheus. Data is handled under the Google Privacy Policy, Google Play Terms, and RevenueCat Privacy Policy.
Orpheus uses Google Firebase Analytics to understand basic app operation and Firebase Crashlytics to diagnose crashes and non-fatal errors. Analytics may automatically process an app-instance identifier, a masked IP address used to derive approximate location, device and operating-system metadata, app lifecycle events, and Google Play purchase events. Orpheus sets only a fixed technical app-variant property and does not set a Firebase user ID.
Crashlytics may process crash and non-fatal stack traces, relevant app state, app version, device model and operating-system metadata, Crashlytics installation UUIDs, and Firebase installation IDs. Orpheus does not send music files, media-library contents, playlist names, lyrics, microphone audio, or typed text to Firebase through custom analytics or crash fields.
Google processes this information to provide analytics, crash reporting, and service security. Data is encrypted in transit. Orpheus does not link Firebase Analytics to an advertising account, does not use Firebase data for advertising, and removes Android Advertising ID and AdServices identifier permissions from the app. See Privacy and Security in Firebase.
When you open the privacy-policy link, your browser and the hosting provider receive ordinary request information such as an IP address and browser metadata. If you email Black and Blue, your email provider and ours process the message and any information you include. Do not include passwords, full purchase tokens, or other sensitive information unless specifically requested through a secure channel.
Depending on your Android version and the feature you use, Orpheus may request:
You can decline or revoke permissions in Android Settings. Music-library access is required for the main local-library experience. Declining audio capture disables only the beat visualizer. Declining notifications may limit playback-control notifications on supported Android versions.
Local data is protected by Android’s application sandbox. Orpheus disables Android cloud backup and device-to-device transfer for its private app data. Local data remains until you clear Orpheus storage or uninstall the app; either action deletes the app’s private database and preferences. Removing an audio file from your device removes the underlying media independently of Orpheus.
Google Play, RevenueCat, Firebase, email providers, and the privacy-page host retain information according to their own legal, fraud-prevention, security, and operational requirements.
To request help identifying or deleting information associated with an anonymous RevenueCat or Firebase installation identifier, email developer@blackandblue.co.in with the subject Orpheus privacy request. We may need information from the app or a purchase record to locate the relevant identifier. Some purchase or operational records may need to be retained where required by law, accounting, fraud prevention, security, or dispute handling.

Orpheus is intended for people aged 13 and older and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through a service used by Orpheus, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
Third-party providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Their privacy policies describe their processing locations and safeguards.
Users in India may send privacy questions or complaints to Black and Blue at developer@blackandblue.co.in with the subject Orpheus privacy request. We will respond in accordance with applicable law. This contact statement does not designate a statutory grievance officer or publish unverified legal or postal details.
We may update this policy when the app, its service providers, or legal requirements change. The current version will show its effective date above. Material changes will be communicated through the app or store listing when appropriate.
For privacy or deletion requests, email us. Do not post purchase identifiers or other sensitive information in a public issue.
